Function and aesthetic contexts in disaster mitigation comics

Abstract The global climate change bears impact on natural conditions. In extreme contexts, these changes can trigger disasters. To avoid or minimize a more severe impact, disaster mitigation efforts are needed. A publication media that is able to persuade and attract attention needed convey the public. Comics medium facilitate this. addition entertaining attracting from visual side, comics also messages. Using comparative methods content analysis in form of qualitative descriptive study, this research aims see how comic attracts terms aesthetic, conveys function delivering messages as conveying become effectively accepted by public if they supported attractive features. With its image entertainment light reading material, make people feel comfortable not tense afraid.
